Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Hudson is seeking a dedicated Hospital Porter & Driver to join our team on a full-time basis (40 hours per week, 8:30am–5pm). You will help create a safe environment for people in our care while handling mail, deliveries and continual supplies across the site.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, reliability and good communication. Healthcare experience is desirable, with opportunities for progression and staff benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
• Experience in healthcare settings is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and organisational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out collection, sorting and delivery of internal and external mail and parcels across the hospital.
• Provide delivery/collection service for clinical and office equipment and stationery.
• Deliver and collect clean and dirty linen and liaise with external laundry service.
• Move furniture and equipment, including dismantling where needed.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and use the hospital fuel card.
• Support office moves and prepare weekly/monthly usage reports for management.
