Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician in Cellular Pathology to join the Carmarthen department. The role supports sample handling, preparation and tracking, with LIMS data entry and equipment maintenance across the Glangwili and Prince Philip sites.

The post requires collaboration with the pathology team, ongoing training, and competency assessments; Welsh language ability is desirable though not mandatory.

Formación

• IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part 1 or NVQ3/ Level 3 Diploma/ A level or equivalent experience
• Medical Laboratory experience
• Histology laboratory experience
• Experience with Laboratory information systems
• Experience with Microsoft packages
• Welsh language skills at Level 1 are desirable

Responsabilidades

• Work alongside the Cellular Pathology team to fulfil daily operational requirements.
• Perform sample handling, preparation and tracking; provide consultant support during specimen dissection; data entry in the LIMS; maintain equipment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with scientific and medical staff to ensure effective service delivery; participate in training and competency assessments.
