Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician in Cellular Pathology (Band 3) for a full-time post in Carmarthen. Qualifications

• IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part 1 or NVQ3/ Level 3 Diploma/ A level or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Medical Laboratory and Histology laboratory settings.
• Experience with Laboratory information systems (LIMS) and Microsoft packages.
• Welsh language ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the cellular pathology team to meet daily operational needs.
• Perform sample handling, preparation and tracking; support during specimen dissection.
• Data entry using the LIMS system and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with scientific and medical staff.
• Participate in training programs and ongoing competency assessments.
