Job summary

Sodexo Ltd. is seeking an experienced Chef for a full-time role at our Thatcham site, delivering high-quality, fresh meals for military personnel.

You will work 37.5 hours weekly, over 5 days, with established shift patterns, supporting a friendly catering team and developing your career within a leading organisation. Join us to contribute to nutritious meals and excellent food hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar catering environment.
• A passion for preparing and serving high-quality food and delivering an excellent service.
• A positive attitude, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present fresh, nutritious food to menu and quality standards, ensuring safety and correct temperature.
• Support the smooth running of food service, including hot plate, live cooking, prep and storage.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, uniform, PPE and housekeeping across all areas.
• Use catering equipment responsibly and report accidents or issues promptly.
• Collaborate with colleagues, managers and clients to ensure efficient, high-quality service.
• Attend team briefings and handovers for smooth service.
• Follow policies and food safety procedures, and engage in training for skill growth.
