Job summary

Trading Post Coffee Roasters is seeking a skilled Barista with a genuine passion for coffee and a keen eye for detail. You will work in a high-volume environment serving specialty espresso and expertly steamed milk, using top-of-the-range machines and grinders.

You will contribute to delivering top-quality coffee and hospitality, while learning across all venue operations and maintaining a positive team spirit in a supportive, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Dialing in grinders for all blends and origins to brand standard.
• Open and close the coffee section independently.
• Maintain standard speed of service and coffee quality in a fast-paced environment.
• Pour basic latte art and understand alternative milks.
• Assist across all venue areas as part of the Trading Post team.
• Bring positivity and motivation to the team at all times.
• Deliver great hospitality within the hospitality standards framework.
• Undertake regular training and continuous self-improvement.
• Support a busy team and contribute to team-driven results.

Trading Post Coffee Roasters is an artisan coffee roasting and hospitality business that, since opening in 2017, has expanded to serve freshly roasted coffee, brunch, and cocktails across Brighton and Sussex.

We arelooking for a skilled Barista with top attention to detail, efficiency andcleanliness along with a genuine passion for all things coffee. You will havesome experience in a high-volume, quality coffee environment, serving specialtyespresso and pouring expertly steamed milk. You will also be comfortableworking with our top-of-the-range machines and grinders and develop a strongunderstanding of at-home brewing methods to be able to advise your customers.
