Job summary

Spydr in Bristol is seeking a Full-Stack Developer with a front-end focus to build engaging interfaces using React, TypeScript and Next.js, while contributing to back-end work where needed. You will work across client projects and managed products, translating designs into reusable components and delivering high-quality UX.

This role offers hybrid working from our Clifton office with optional WFH Fridays, a modern MacBook, and opportunities to work with AI-assisted tools and cutting-edge

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional software development experience with front-end focus.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL; Supabase knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience using Git and working within agile delivery.
• Some experience with automated tests or willingness to develop this skill.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and integrating them into daily workflow.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and collaboration within a team.
• A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Translate designs and product requirements into reusable front-end components.
• Work closely with designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Integrate front-end applications with APIs and back-end services.
• Contribute to back-end development as required.
• Write clean, maintainable, tested code following established practices.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, debugging and review.
• Take responsibility for quality and reliability, troubleshooting issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards.
• Collaborate across development, design, account management and QA to deliver projects.
• Manage workload across multiple projects and communicate progress early.
• Contribute ideas to improve development processes and stay up to date with technologies.
