  • Shifts: Monday to Friday Day Shift
  • Salary: £35-40k per annum

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Working as a Software Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the product development lifecycle from initial concept through to post-launch analysis, you’ll be deeply involved in every aspect of software development, ensuring the platform evolves to meet the needs of a global user base. Working closely with UI/UX designers, you will develop new features and continuous improvements to the platform, helping safety teams worldwide operate more efficiently.

  • Collaborate on the end-to-end development of the software platform, from concept to deployment.
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to iterate and develop new features.
  • Continuously improve the platform to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Engage directly with customers, understanding their needs, and translating them into practical solutions.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of the platform.
  • Provide ongoing post-launch support and contribute to post-launch analysis for product improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for clean, maintainable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and scalability.

About You:

  • You have experience building web applications from scratch in a production environment.
  • You have experience in server-side programming languages such as Python or PHP.
  • You understand relational databases and SQL and can work with this in a day-to-day manner.
  • You have experience in integrating with secure APIs.
  • You have experience using source control such as Git.
  • You have a passion for both client-side and server-side development and love seeing our software serve the customer better.
  • You’re a team player with a positive attitude, you like finding creative ways to solve problems, and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have previous experience in server administration.
  • You understand and have experience in building secure RESTful APIs.
