Job summary

Anson Mccade is seeking a Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer in Leeds. You will lead development of user-centered software, design and maintain scalable Kotlin/Java applications, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver digital services for clients.

You will own development and deployment pipelines and mentor engineers. The role requires strong Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot experience, and familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Kotlin and Java across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, or Nunjucks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of user-centred software solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver digital services for clients.
• Take ownership of development and deployment pipelines.

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience with Kotlin, Java, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
• Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, or Nunjucks.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Experience delivering scalable, high-quality digital solutions.
• Desirable: consultancy, government, or NHS project experience.
• Desirable: knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Desirable: knowledge of Helm.
