Full Stack Engineer (Team Lead)

This is an excellent opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer to join on an initial 4-month contract, with the expectation of extension into a permanent role, leading a team focused on innovation.

Role Overview:

The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining their platform, requiring expertise in front-end and back-end technologies, scalable architecture, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor the development team, ensuring high-quality code and best practices.
  • Full-Stack Development: Develop platform features using React, Node.js, Directus, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and APIs.
  • Matrix/Synapse Integration: Develop real-time messaging features using Matrix/Synapse.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Manage deployments, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar).
  • Database & API Management: Design schemas and develop secure APIs.
  • Performance Optimization, Code Review & Quality Assurance, Security Best Practices.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Directus or similar CMS solutions.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful & GraphQL APIs.
  • Leadership experience in development teams.
  • Hands-on with cloud platforms and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Agile, CI/CD, Git, Docker.
  • Arabic language skills for bilingual support.
  • Experience with AI/ML integrations or recommendation systems.
  • Expertise with WebSockets, real-time messaging, event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of platform monetization and payment systems.
  • Understanding of access control, authentication, and data privacy regulations.
