Job summary

Lexerus is an early-stage retail-tech company building AI-powered loss prevention for UK supermarkets and independent retailers. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll own features end-to-end—from concept with a store manager to backend, UI, and live in-store deployments.

You’ll work across mobile, desktop, and API, building React Native/Expo apps for staff, a desktop Tauri app, and FastAPI endpoints with PostgreSQL schemas. A bias for action helps you thrive in a small, fast-moving team.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong skills in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end practice.
• Backend experience with Python (FastAPI) and PostgreSQL, or close equivalents.
• Comfortable using AI-powered development tools to move faster without sacrificing quality.
• Thoughtful, fast-moving with a product-oriented mindset and bias for action.

Responsibilities

• Lead features end-to-end from design through deployment across mobile, desktop, and API.
• Build and maintain the React Native (Expo) mobile app used by store staff to triage alerts.
• Work on the Tauri desktop app with its local detection sidecar and sync workers.
• Design and build FastAPI endpoints and PostgreSQL schemas for growth across stores.
• Transform detection output into quick-action interfaces for busy shop managers.
