Job summary

Prevail Partners is seeking a mid-level Full Stack Engineer to join the Platform & System Operations team in London on a permanent basis. You’ll design, build and maintain applications powering our intelligence platform, from Python/AWS backends to React frontends.

You’ll work closely with engineers and analysts to turn requirements into reliable software, own features end-to-end, and contribute to a growing platform used by investigators.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven full stack engineer with backend and frontend experience.
• Strong Python skills with API/backend experience.
• Experience with React and modern frontend development.
• Cloud experience (AWS) and SQL proficiency.
• Strong problem solving and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain full stack features across Databricks, Python and AWS backend and the frontend of internal tools (React).
• Translate requirements into well-architected, maintainable technical solutions with Solution Engineers and analysts.
• Build and maintain APIs on AWS powering internal tools.
• Contribute to consolidating tools into a single intelligence platform and define shared components.
• Write clean, tested, documented code and participate in code reviews to raise the bar.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production, including monitoring and support.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues by identifying root causes across the business.
• Evolve engineering practices, tooling and CI/CD processes as the platform grows.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
• Maintain high standards of data security and information handling.
