Job summary

Station is building high-scale data science platforms in Central London. You will own greenfield services, craft high-throughput architectures, and bring ML-driven features into production.

Role focuses on end-to-end ownership from back-end event-driven services to crisp frontends, with production AWS, Docker, and Terraform ownership.

Qualifications

• Strong backend skills in Python and Java.
• Experience with React or Vue.js frontend.
• Relational databases (Postgres) and production AWS deployments.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship reliable microservices from scratch using Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Build high-scale data models in Postgres and interface with event-driven pipelines.
• Create modern web UIs with React or Vue.js.
• Own cloud operations in production using AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, data-driven features.

They are scaling their Central London engineering team and looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer to take direct ownership of greenfield services, building high-throughput architectures, handling massive datasets, and bringing ML-driven features directly into production. What You'll Be Building

• Architect and ship reliable microservices from scratch using Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• High-Scale Data Systems: Build efficient Postgres data models and interface with modern event-driven / NoSQL pipelines (Elasticsearch, DynamoDB).
• Modern Web UIs: Create clean, responsive frontend workflows in React or Vue.js.
• Cloud & DevOps Ownership: Run, monitor, and scale services in production using AWS, Docker, and Terraform.

What They're Looking For

• Strong core engineering skills in Python.
• Modern JavaScript framework experience (React or Vue.js).
• Deep understanding of relational databases (Postgres) and production AWS deployments.
• Bonus: Exposure to Terraform, Docker, event-driven systems, or an interest in AI/ML integration.
