Job summary

iwoca is seeking a Full-stack Engineer to join the Operations Engineering Team in London with a hybrid work setup. You will build the systems that power our German business and own high-impact projects from concept to delivery.

You will design and build full-stack services supporting underwriting, notifications, and account management, collaborating with Operations, Analytics, and Product teams to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record designing and building backend systems using Python.
• Experience with front-end in React or TypeScript to deliver end-to-end projects.
• Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Able to translate problems into reliable, scalable solutions and iterate based on usage.
• Strong communication to influence decisions within the team.

Responsibilities

• Design and build full‑stack services supporting core operational workflows.
• Simplify workflows by automating manual steps.
• Evolve architecture to scale and maintain reliability.
• Lead projects end-to-end and contribute to improved engineering practices.
