Job summary

Stripe is seeking fullstack software engineers to build scalable products from a 0→1 stage within the Direct Surfaces Team. You will lead technical projects, design and maintain UIs and related APIs, and collaborate across teams to deliver features that scale with business needs.

You should have 3+ years of industry experience, strong React and React Native skills, and a passion for exceptional user experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience building high quality code and infrastructure.
• Strong focus on delivering great user experience and ease of use for features and products.
• Experience building UIs and APIs with solid engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Scope and lead technical projects, laying groundwork for products to evolve and scale.
• Design, build, expand and maintain UIs and their related APIs and services.
• Collaborate with partners to design and launch new features and capabilities.
• Align technical decisions with Stripe’s strategic initiatives while supporting emerging businesses.
• Collaborate with engineers across the company to determine when to reuse infrastructure vs. build bespoke solutions.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term roadmaps with tradeoffs balancing business priorities and user experience.
