Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Software Engineer III in Bournemouth to join an agile team focused on building secure, scalable Full Stack solutions in the cloud. You will work across front-end, back-end and infrastructure, guiding junior engineers and driving automation through CI/CD and IaC using Terraform.

Qualifications

• Proven production-oriented software engineering experience in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on system design, application development, testing and operational stability with a strong Full Stack background.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid experience with AWS cloud services and Terraform automation.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical initiatives.
• Experience with CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions emphasizing security and stability.
• Develop high-quality production code across front-end, back-end, and cloud components; provide guidance to juniors.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system performance across diverse environments.
• Drive automation using SDLC toolchains, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Review and debug code across the stack, ensuring best practices and strong code quality.
• Analyze large data sets to guide secure, stable application development and informed decisions.
• Promote agile methodologies, resiliency, and security throughout the lifecycle of projects.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools while maintaining rigorous validation and peer review.
