Job summary

AJ Bell is hiring an experienced Full Stack Engineer to help build services powering apps and websites. You’ll work across the stack with Node.js, TypeScript, React, MongoDB and AWS, collaborating with Product, UX and Business teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

The team emphasizes engineering excellence, autonomy, and continuous improvement, with hybrid working and opportunities to impact customer experiences directly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial experience developing web applications and APIs.
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, PHP, .NET Core, MongoDB and SQL.
• Experience building HTTP-based APIs and GraphQL.
• CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and/or AWS CodePipeline.
• Test Driven Development and automated testing frameworks.
• Containerisation with Docker/Kubernetes; cloud-based AWS solutions.
• Understanding of high-performing web pages and apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop full stack features across APIs, web apps, data layers and integrations.
• Design and deploy secure, scalable solutions across the stack.
• Collaborate with Product, UX and Business teams to translate problems intotechnical solutions.
• Own code from idea to deployment, monitoring and ongoing improvement.
• Contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
