Job summary

Wintermute in London is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer who will own end-to-end trading applications for internal and client-facing portals, from backend services to frontend interfaces.

You will collaborate across product, trading and engineering teams to build scalable, secure systems with Go and/or Python, REST/WebSocket APIs, and AWS-based infrastructure. Expect independence, rapid impact, and a chance to help shape a platform from scratch.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development across backend and frontend.
• Strong backend engineering skills with Go and/or Python; design and implement services, REST/WebSocket APIs.
• Experience in client-facing financial or professional services products; fintech or crypto domain is a plus.
• Good understanding of infrastructure applications (CDN, Cloudflare, web servers, containers, CI/CD).
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2/ECS, S3, IAM, VPC, load balancers) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Relational databases and caching; efficient query design.
• Secure coding practices: OWASP risks, authentication, authorization, secrets handling, testing.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end applications for Wintermute's trading products and client portals.
• Own features across the stack: backend services, APIs, data models, and frontends.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, trading and engineering teams.
• Drive platform vision from scratch and own the user experience across customer lifecycle stages.
