Job summary

Few&Far in Edinburgh is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering-led team. You will build features end-to-end across Python back-end and React/TypeScript front-end, collaborating with ML and product teams to turn AI innovations into reliable products.

The role offers hybrid work with Edinburgh presence 1–2 days per week, scope to own deployments and integrations, and a strong emphasis on AI-powered computer vision for global consumer brands.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend experience with Python and modern API development.
• Experience with FastAPI (preferred) or Django/Flask.
• Comfortable across the stack (approx. 70% backend / 30% frontend).
• Ability to own end-to-end features in a startup environment.
• Experience using AI development tools as part of workflow.

Responsibilities

• Building and shipping features end-to-end, from the backend and data layer through to the customer-facing product.
• Developing scalable backend services and APIs using Python & FastAPI.
• Connecting backend systems with React / TypeScript applications.
• Building and maintaining integrations between the platform, internal services and customer systems.
• Owning your work through testing, deployment and production.
• Working closely with ML and customer-facing teams to turn AI into reliable products.
