Job summary

Remotestar is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer with strong Java backend and React.js or Next.js frontend for a fully remote role. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams from Europe in an XP/ Agile environment, applying TDD, pair programming, and continuous delivery practices.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in scalable services using Java Spring/Spring Boot and modern frontend frameworks, and communicates effectively in a distributed, remote setup.

Qualifications

• Solid backend experience with Java (Spring / Spring Boot).
• Frontend development using React.js or Next.js.
• Experience with XP practices including TDD and pair programming.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web app architecture.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilledFull-Stack Developer with strong experience inJava on the backend andReact.js or Next.js on the frontend. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in aremote, collaborative environment and has hands‑on experience withExtreme Programming (XP) practices, includingTest-Driven Development (TDD) andPair Programming.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications
• Build robust backend services usingJava (e.g., Spring / Spring Boot)
• Develop responsive and performant user interfaces usingReact.js or Next.js
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code usingTDD
• Actively participate inpair programming and collaborative code reviews
• Contribute to system design, architecture, and technical decision‑making
