Job summary

Remotestar is seeking a Senior Developer / Tech Lead for a fast growing Norway startup. This is a fully remote role. You will own architecture decisions and play a central role alongside the CTO and founders.

The platform handles several thousand orders daily. You will be the sole developer at times and will shape features, performance, and reliability while collaborating with diverse colleagues. You bring frontend Next.js and Node.js, Java backend, microservices, and strong Unix-based sysadmin

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in frontend with Next.js and Node.js.
• Strong microservices architecture and Java backend experience.
• NGINX configuration and administration experience.
• Familiarity with Unix-based systems and server management (systemd, ssh, bash).
• Knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Experience with databases such as HSQLDB and SQLite.
• Familiarity with Next.js pages router and dynamic routing.
• Strong communication in Norwegian and English.

We are looking for a Senior Developer / Tech Lead for a fast growing and profitable startup from Norway. This is a Fully Remote role.

About Client:

A small fun, very profitable ecommerce startup with turnover of 70 and 80 million kroner. You will be working directly with the CTO and Founders.

Role:

As a Tech Lead / Senior Developer, you will be able to control solution architecture and technology choices, and play a central role in how the company develops. Systems consist of a self-developed e-commerce platform to handle several thousand orders every day. It is very important to have a rock-solid, simple and stable solutions for our many customers and employees. You will be our only developer and therefore play a very central role in the company. You will work closely with the CTO to set new courses and develop new features. In addition, you get a really good group of colleagues in different disciplines.

Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in frontend development using Next.js and Node.js.
