Job description

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join BEAUTY BAY!

In this role, you will drive the technical development of BEAUTY BAY’s front-end and back-end systems, overseeing daily operations, enhancements, and maintenance of our website and mobile application. Your responsibilities include developing new features, fixing bugs, and maintaining existing systems. You should be able to work effectively within a team, contribute to technical discussions, and communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

The role extends beyond the website and app, involving work on custom back-office software and third-party API integrations that support business operations. Collaboration with the Cloud Ops Team to integrate infrastructure and website activities is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement new features for the website and app.
• Maintain and update the website, app, APIs, and back-office systems.
• Manage third-party integrations such as feeds and SaaS platforms.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to align infrastructure and web development efforts.

Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in modern CSS is highly desirable.
• Strong experience with React, including hooks and functional components.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Knowledge of application performance optimization.
• Experience working in a full-stack environment.
• Familiarity with AWS services and APIs.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software craftsmanship.
• Headless CMS experience is a plus but not essential.
• Experience in e-commerce is highly advantageous.
