Job summary

Amazon is hiring at its delivery station in the United Kingdom. You will load conveyor belts, transport and stage deliveries for drivers, using scanners and handheld devices to sort orders and organize items into delivery bags and vans.

Join a fast-paced, active team with on-the-job training and a strong emphasis on safety. Expect shift variety, with early morning to night hours, and a supportive, climate-controlled workplace.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Understand and follow instructions in English.
• Lift up to 23kg.
• Lift up to 38kg using Tilt-Push-Slide technique.
• Lift up to 120kg using a sack truck.
• View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.
• Go up and down stairs (where applicable).
• Work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving vehicles.
• Handle a full range of Amazon products, including alcohol, pork, beef and other animal products.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare packages for delivery.
• Use technology like scanners and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders into delivery bags and vans.
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
• Receive truck deliveries of customer packages.
