Job summary
83zero Limited in Peterborough is seeking a Development Engineer - Fuel Systems to join our engineering team on a 12-month contract, paying £40.73 per hour Inside IR35. The role focuses on development through production of diesel engine fuel systems.
You will own fuel system development, perform design reviews, risk assessments, validation and testing, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver next-generation diesel engine products.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' engineering experience.
- Strong fuel system development experience.
- Knowledge of high-pressure fuel systems.
- Experience with diesel or reciprocating engines.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing principles.
- Experience with APQP, FMEA and DVP&R would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Off-highway diesel engine experience would be highly desirable.
- Experience with CAD, PLM, simulation or testing would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Own fuel system development activities from development through to production.
- Lead design reviews and supplier development.
- Perform risk assessment, validation and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering issues.
