We are recruiting for a Technical Consultant (Windows Server Security Remediation) for a 3-6 month fixed term contract starting in May.

Some travel to Manchester expected as necessary.

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience managing and securing Windows Server environments
• Ability to identify and remediate unpatched systems and misconfigurations
• Familiarity with tools and techniques for local and remote auditing, scripting, and automated remediation (PowerShell)
• Comfort working in environments with incomplete documentation or unknown configuration baselines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative to investigate and resolve issues
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to log findings, actions, and outcomes
• Strong understanding of IT security principles, risk-based remediation, and operational impacts of changes
• Open to working collaboratively and flexibly to resolve client challenges promptly
• Experience with structured change management, proactive consulting, and stakeholder communication
• Willingness to collaborate with infrastructure, security, and service desk teams for coordinated actions

(Desirable) Experience in security hardening against industry standards, assessing server roles and dependencies, and virtualized infrastructure (e.g., VMware vSphere/ESXi).
