Job summary

Thames Water in Oxford is seeking a Process Technician to support front-line operations across multiple sites. No prior experience in waste or water is required, and full training is provided, making this a strong entry point into the industry.

You will work at Oxford Sewage Treatment Works with a 38-hour week and a full UK driving licence. The role includes planned maintenance, operating and cleaning plant, and reactive duties to keep the plant running and protect the environment.

Qualifications

• Practical aptitude, problem-solving, reliability and the ability to work outdoors are essential.
• No prior waste or water sector experience is required; applicants from other industries are welcomed.
• Full training is provided, making this a strong entry point into the industry.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
• Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
• Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
• Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
• Carrying out daily site checks to ensure compliant operation.
