Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited in Oxford is seeking a Site Maintenance Operator to join the frontline team at the Oxford Sewage Treatment Works. The role starts with 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with training followed by a rotating shift pattern including early, day, late and night shifts with additional pay.

You will carry out planned maintenance, operate and clean plant, and respond to faults, ensuring safety and environmental standards are met while supporting the supply to customers.

Qualifications

• You do not need a background in the Water industry.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and good teamwork.
• Full UK driver's Licence.
• Willing to work 38 hours and rotating shifts after training.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
• Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to maintain onsite operational and health and safety standards.
• Attending to reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
• Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
• Always working safely and complying with Health and Safety guidance and procedures.
