Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a General Service Assistant at Alexander Barracks, Pirbright. You will welcome customers, serve food and beverages, and help maintain clean front and back of house areas while following hygiene standards.

This role offers full-time permanent work with 35 hours per week, weekend shifts, and benefits such as free parking, uniform, and access to our Benefits App. Training provided; 18+ and UK work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus – but not essential, full training provided
• Must be 18+
• Eligibility to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years (security clearance required)
• Food hygiene certificate - Level 2 desirable. Relevant training will be provided
• Basic numeracy skills
• Own or reliable transport due to remote location and limited public transport
• Ability to work a variety of shifts

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers
• Clean back of house areas, crockery, and cutlery
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/machines, preparation, and public areas
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the work
• Perform daily paperwork
• Keeps diligent records as required
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures
