Job summary

JD.com, the Joybuy European team, is hiring a Web Engineer to build and optimise user-facing web experiences for high-traffic e-commerce. You will work with product and backend engineers to deliver scalable frontend solutions that power Joybuy’s European shopping experience.

You will join a growing technical team in London, collaborating across disciplines to implement responsive, accessible interfaces and performance-focused features for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years frontend web development experience using React or similar frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge of Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and component-based architecture.
• Solid coding practices and maintainability.
• Ability to communicate in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and user-facing features.
• Participate in requirement discussions, design, and code reviews.
• Optimise frontend performance across browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure data flow.
• Deliver features on time and according to requirements.
• Explore new technologies to evolve frontend practices within the team.
• Work onsite in London, UK.
