Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Frontend Lead Software Engineer within the Markets Technology group in Glasgow. You will lead end-to-end frontend efforts for the Research Platform, shaping architecture, UI components, and performance across the platform.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and promote frontend excellence, testing practices, and scalable web solutions in a cloud-enabled, regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning complex frontend deliverables across multiple teams.
• Expertise in modern frontend stack (React, Vue, Svelte, Angular) with TypeScript.
• Experience with design systems and UX collaboration.
• Strong testing discipline and modern build tooling.
• Experience deploying scalable cloud-native apps on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own end-to-end frontend deliverables across the Research Platform — from discovery through to architecture, delivery, and production.
• Architect frontend solutions in a platform-first approach, balancing external client needs with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Advance SDLC practices, delivery mechanisms, and UI frameworks that scale across the platform.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Uphold disciplined engineering standards — testing, accessibility, and compliance awareness.
• Contribute to the evolution of the team's technology strategy and evaluate new tools.
