Job summary

Bede Gaming is seeking a Front-end focused Software Engineer to join the Experience Tribe in Newcastle. You will build and evolve user-facing features with modern frontend tech, writing clean, scalable code while collaborating with Product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with HTML, CSS (including SASS) and JavaScript.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks, ideally React Native with TypeScript.
• Comfortable consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
• Solid understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Good grasp of accessibility and UX best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve user-facing features using modern frontend technologies.
• Write clean, reusable, and scalable code.
• Collaborate with Product and engineers to ensure feasible implementations.
• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing; participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Review code and provide feedback to maintain high engineering standards.
• Debug frontend issues across applications.
