Bede Gaming Limited in Newcastle upon Tyne is hiring a Front-end leaning Software Engineer to join our Experience Tribe. You will build user-facing features using modern frontend tech, ensure clean code and collaborate with product and engineers to turn ideas into working software.

The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office. You'll work on performance optimization, accessibility, and contribute to documentation while embracing a fast-moving, supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON.
• Proficient in building responsive, cross-platform applications.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude).
• Experience with asset build tools and frontend tooling.
• Strong Git/version-control practices.
• Good accessibility and UX fundamentals.
• Experience reviewing code and sharing knowledge with others.
• Self-motivated with problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve user-facing features with modern frontend tech.
• Write clean, reusable, scalable code.
• Collaborate with Product and engineers to implement designs.
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Contribute to documentation and shared knowledge.
