Job summary

Bright Ascension Ltd. is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to build the main user interfaces across our HELIX product suite. You will collaborate with UX designers, backend teams and the Applications team to deliver features, with a focus on React and a robust component library.

Ideal candidates will work well in an agile environment, enjoy solving problems, and be ready to engage with a flexible, hybrid role based in Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of React.js and its core principles and best practices.
• Experience with Next.js or another SSR framework.
• Experience with Typescript.
• Experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Experience with Redux/Zustand or other state management tools.
• Use of version control systems such as Git.
• Interest in continuous improvement and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Development and debugging of high-quality code following best practices.

Responsibilities

• Development and testing of frontend software according to best practices.
• Collaborating with backend engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Implementing bug fixes in a timely manner.
• Engaging with Product Engineering and UX Design teams to contribute to the SDLC of our products.
