Job summary

TransitionZero is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join the interface team and help shape Scenario Builder with React and TypeScript. You will build new capabilities, improve the foundations of the product, and create intuitive experiences over large datasets and complex energy models.

You will work with product, design, backend engineers, AI engineers, and energy specialists to deliver data-heavy, interactive interfaces and AI-powered capabilities, while taking ownership of features in a small

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production frontend applications with TypeScript and modern React.
• Experience building complex user interfaces for data-heavy workflows with tables, filtering, forms, and interactive visualisations.
• Understanding frontend performance principles: profiling, reducing renders, handling large datasets.
• Experience with client-side data management patterns (caching, synchronisation, invalidation, optimistic updates).
• Experience writing and maintaining frontend tests across unit, component, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Experience building accessible, reusable UI components using headless libraries and CSS frameworks (Tailwind, etc).
• Ability to deliver well-scoped features independently and make technical decisions.
• Comfortable collaborating with product, design, and engineering in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frontend features from implementation through release in partnership with product and design.
• Build and deliver frontend capabilities for Scenario Builder using React and TypeScript.
• Implement complex UI patterns: data tables, filtering, virtualised lists, interactive visualisations.
• Contribute to frontend architecture with reusable components and patterns.
• Apply performance optimization techniques for large datasets and visuals.
