Job summary

Modo Energy is hiring frontend engineers to join one of our product teams: Terminal, Data, Ko, or Modelling. You'll build a shared TypeScript, React, and Next.js frontend in a monorepo and ship against a company-wide design system.

We value fast learners who ship with autonomy, move across component architecture and performance, and collaborate with energy analysts and data scientists to turn domain knowledge into practical tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years frontend development with TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Experience with MUI or similar component library.
• Strong testing practice (Jest, Cypress or Playwright).
• Proficient with Git, Docker and CI/CD workflows; comfortable with monorepos.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools and design systems.
• Fast learner, autonomous, and capable of shipping in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Shape frontend technical direction for scalable monorepo.
• Design and build components in internal UI library (MUI-based).
• Develop high-performance interfaces for live market data.
• Write well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Balance feature shipping with maintenance and performance work.
• Collaborate with design, energy analysts, and data scientists.
• Tackle backend/infrastructure tasks when needed.
