Job summary

Met Office in Exeter is recruiting an experienced Frontend Developer for a long-term contract. The role is hybrid with one day per week in the office, based in Exeter, working with product, design and backend teams to deliver responsive applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript.

• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience collaborating with product, design and backend teams.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
• Desirable PyGeoAPI experience.
• Desirable Jira and Confluence experience.
• Desirable experience delivering digital services in government/public sector.

We are recruiting for an experienced Frontend Developer to join the Met Office on a long-term contract based in Exeter. This is a hybrid role with one day per week in the office and a contract length of 6+ months ongoing, offering a rate of £550-£600 per day. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern digital services in a mixed Azure and AWS cloud environment, alongside product, design and technical teams.
