Job summary

ByteHire is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, build, and enhance modern web applications in a hybrid AWS/Azure environment. You will work across the full development lifecycle, combining React/Next.js frontend development with Python-based backend engineering.

Responsibilities include building REST APIs, integrating with search technologies like Elasticsearch, and implementing OAuth2 with Microsoft Entra ID.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch or comparable search indexing technologies.

You will work across the full development lifecycle, combining React and Next.js frontend development with Python-based backend engineering. The role will involve building accessible user experiences, developing APIs, working with search technologies, and contributing to secure, reliable application delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop responsive and accessible applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.

Design and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI or Flask.

Develop application functionality using Elasticsearch and other search or data services.

Implement secure authentication and authorisation, including OAuth2 and Microsoft Entra ID integrations.

Essential Experience & Technical Skills:

Competitive rate of up to £600 per day.

Initial 6-month Inside IR35 contract.
