Job summary

Eaglecliff Recruitment is seeking a Trading Application Production Support Specialist to join a world-leading Energy Trading company in London. You will be a hands-on engineer supporting global derivatives trading production environments.

You will troubleshoot issues, respond to incidents, and own reliability improvements while collaborating with trading, product, and engineering teams. Expect on-call rotations, including occasional US-hours coverage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting production front office trading applications.
• Knowledge of commodity trading and capital markets.
• 1+ years supporting FIX flows (exchange or client-side).
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python or similar).
• Understanding of the trading lifecycle: order capture and execution, allocation, settlement and compliance.
• Familiarity with algorithmic trading technology and workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data and propose innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of third-party networks and EMS/OMS vendors (e.g. TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen).
• Experience with algo regulation, audit and compliance, including RTS 6.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues in the trading environment and identify root causes.
• Respond rapidly to incidents, turning quick fixes into robust, scalable solutions.
• Monitor systems proactively and own reliability improvements through to delivery.
• Manage critical end-to-end workflows, working with delivery and infrastructure teams to improve stability and resilience.
• Act as a subject matter expert on trading systems initiatives.
• Join the on-call rota, with occasional US-hours cover.
