Job summary

Haven is seeking a friendly Restaurant Team Member to join our on-site team in Poole. You will greet guests, take orders, serve meals, and help create a welcoming dining atmosphere. Training is provided and there are opportunities for career development and staff discounts.

The role supports a busy service with a focus on guest satisfaction, teamwork, and compliance with hygiene standards. Evening, weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

Position: Restaurant Team Member

Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal

Pay Rates: Up to £12.71 per hour depending on age

We’re on the hunt for a friendly, upbeat Restaurant Team Member to bring some fun and flavour to our team! In this role, you’ll be the face of our restaurant-greeting guests with a smile, taking orders, serving delicious food, and creating a warm, welcoming vibe that keeps everyone coming back for more.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, and ensure every customer has a positive dining experience.
• Work closely with kitchen and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy times.
• Keep restaurant and serving areas clean and tidy, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Familiarise yourself with the menu, daily specials, and promotions to answer guest questions and make recommendations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant, fast food or customer service role or as a waiter or waitress is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, guest-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
