A client of ours - a thriving society of barristers, situated on a large estate of historic buildings and contemporary facilities in central London, is looking for a Front of House Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise lunch operations in the hall and provide supervisory support in planning, preparing, and running events.
- Ensure excellent service by waiting staff, meeting the expectations of our client, Members, Benchers, and external clients.
- Delegate and supervise the team for setup and operations of morning meetings, daily lunch, afternoon committee setups, and evening events.
- Assist FOH Management with department administration, staffing, dietary requirements, briefing documentation, and equipment setup.
- Supervise small dinners and receptions up to 100 guests as directed.
- Brief and supervise waiting staff, ensuring dietary and allergen information is communicated prior to service.
- Organize and book agency staff to ensure proper staffing for lunch and events.
- Conduct monthly FOH stock takes and report findings.
- Assist in reporting maintenance issues promptly.
- Conduct regular check-ins with hospitality assistants to ensure wellbeing and happiness.
- Build and maintain good rapport with the FOH team and agency staff.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in hospitality, providing excellent customer service to diverse clients.
- Experience in managing or supervising in a catering environment.
- Experience with a range of events, from small to large-scale, possibly in unique venues.
- Basic IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and ability to develop productive relationships.
- Attention to detail and high standards of work.
- Motivated, proactive, honest, and with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexibly as required.

The Role:
40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including a one-hour paid lunch break each day.
