Job summary

The Kennels at Goodwood Estate is seeking a Front of House Assistant to deliver exceptional hospitality in a welcoming environment. You will greet Members and guests, take orders, and ensure service excellence across the restaurant and bar areas.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong communication skills and a good standard of spoken and written English.
• Positive, friendly and professional approach.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Great attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Providing a warm and professional welcome to Members and guests.
• Taking food and drink orders and delivering attentive service throughout the guest experience.
• Preparing and maintaining restaurant and bar areas to the highest standards.
• Monitoring your section and anticipating guest needs wherever possible.
• Building a strong knowledge of menus, daily specials and events taking place across The Kennels.
• Maximising opportunities to recommend and upsell products and services.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a seamless guest experience.
