Job summary

The Gamekeeper’s Inn in Skipton is seeking Front of House staff for weekends and evenings to join our busy pub restaurant. You will serve food and drinks, seat guests, take orders, and assist guests with check-ins for ensuite accommodation as part of a friendly team.

Ideal candidates have strong English communication skills, prior bar or waiting experience is desirable, and a positive, proactive attitude. Training in food safety will be provided and you will work to uphold hygiene and licensing

Responsibilities

Greet and seat customers, present menus, and take orders.
Serve food and beverages, including preparing beverages.
Upsell where possible and maintain knowledge of the menu.
Handle customer queries and complaints politely, recording issues for management if needed.
Maintain a clean and welcoming environment, including clearing tables and restocking supplies.
Operate the till system, process payments, and manage bookings.
Provide assistance to accommodation guests, including check-ins and check-outs.
Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Assist in setting up for functions and events.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and allergen regulations.
