Job summary

Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team. You will serve customers, take hot and cold drinks orders, assist with basic food preparation such as sandwiches and salads, and help with dishwashing and kitchen hygiene.

You will bring excellent customer service, a flexible approach, and a willingness to learn; a Food Hygiene Level 1 is desirable. We offer generous annual leave, pension, and on-site parking at Willen Lake in a supportive charity

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and a can-do approach.
• Flexibility to assist in different catering tasks and times.
• Desirable: Food Hygiene Level 1 certificate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and take hot and cold drinks orders.
• Assist with basic food preparation (sandwiches, salads, cakes).
• Clear and wash kitchen utensils; load/unload dishwasher.
• Take payments and ensure kitchen hygiene standards are maintained.
