Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is recruiting Vaccination Assistants to join the Integrated Vaccination Service. You will deliver vaccinations and provide frontline administrative support in a busy vaccination centre, ensuring high standards of patient care.

The role requires strong communication, data handling, and teamwork, with attention to data protection and safety protocols. Welsh language skills are desirable and Welsh or English speakers are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• GCSE English and Maths to GCSE or equivalent
• HCA NVQ level 3 pathway or willingness to work towards it
• Knowledge of IM&T systems or other patient administration systems
• Strong IT skills with Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Collect, verify and record a high standard of patient demographic data.
• Record vaccination data on IM&T system in real time to keep patient records accurate.
• Carry out administrative processes to support high quality patient care.
• Prioritise own workload with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate sensitivity and diplomacy when assisting distressed individuals.
• Confirm client identity and vaccination consent, addressing concerns as needed.
• Ensure vaccinations are performed in line with client condition and protocols.
