Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging in Rugby seeks a Shift Process Leader for the Front End (Green Shift). The role combines hands-on leadership with accountability for safety, quality and performance against production targets.

You will organise and develop your team, drive continuous improvement, coordinate with maintenance, and ensure standardised equipment settings to meet complex production demands. A strong engineering mindset and capable training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in an Engineering/Mechanical discipline or equivalent experience
• English, written and verbal
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel and Word
• Ability to generate reports from data
• Good knowledge of ISO standards
• Strong leadership, delegation, communication and organisational skills
• Analytical skills to interpret numerical data

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times
• Lead and develop the team to meet production and quality targets
• Investigate defects and coordinate corrective actions
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and costs
• Coordinate with engineering for maintenance and equipment standardisation
• Train team members and set up effective communication across shifts
• Safely manufacture cans according to the production plan and budget
