Accenture Song is seeking a Front End Engineering Manager to lead web/mobile frontend initiatives in London. You will guide teams, partner with product, design, and data science, and scale modern digital commerce platforms with Generative AI at the core.

You will drive performance, mentor engineers, and help shape solutions for large client programs while engaging with senior leadership and contributing to offerings in a fast-moving, AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading front-end engineering teams for web/mobile.
• Hands-on with modern frontend frameworks and performance optimization.
• Experience building with Generative AI in workflows and products.
• Experience integrating cloud services via APIs (GraphQL/REST).
• Senior roles in software engineering (Engineering Lead/Team Lead).
• Extensive experience in agile environments for digital product creation.
• Knowledge of Systems Architecture, Front End, Platform & SRE, Quality Engineering, CI/CD.
• Ability to articulate technology trends to leadership.

About the role:

We’re looking for individuals who are experts in front‑end engineering for mobile or web platforms, with deep experience in modern frameworks and performance optimization. You’ll bring hands‑on experience with generative AI technologies and understand how to apply them to enhance product experiences. Consulting experience is also key — you’ll be comfortable engaging with clients, shaping solutions, and driving strategic outcomes.

As a frontend engineering manager, you will:

• Support growth within our customer technology product engineering practice
• Advise clients on how to build product and platform engineering capabilities and teams
• Build strong client relationships focused on customer, digital and platforms
• Lead engineering across large digital & agile transformation programmes
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists and Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products and solutions
• Propel the use of Generative AI within our work and products
• Provide input to technology & engineering thought leadership to our clients and teams
• Maximise team performance through mentorship, skills learning and career development
• Contribute to developing offerings, assets, capabilities, and attend events

We are looking for experience in the following:

• Previous experience leading front end engineering teams/squads
• Experience of building with modern frontend technologies on web and/or mobile (e.g. React/iOS/Android/React Native)
• Use of Generative AI within your workflows and/or products you are creating
• Experience with integrating cloud services directly into complex solutions(GraphQL/Restful APIs)
• Previous experience in software engineering senior roles (e.g. Engineering Lead, Team Lead)
• Extensive experience in agile environments for digital product creation
• Broad experience in modern engineering practices including:
• Systems Architecture
• Front End Engineering
• Platform & SRE Engineering
• Quality Engineering
• CI/CD

• Comfortable in articulating trends in technology and engineering practices
• Experience improving speed and quality outcomes using modern engineering practices

Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role as there will be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery of the outstanding services we are known for.

There is a requirement to work from the office 3 days per week, and on site with client when required.
