Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is seeking a Front-End Application Developer to design, build and maintain modern web and mobile interfaces. You will translate UI/UX designs into responsive experiences and collaborate across design, backend, QA and DevOps teams.

As projects scale, there is potential to lead front-end delivery, define architecture, and mentor colleagues. A Bachelors degree and strong React/Next.js experience are required, with a hybrid working setup in the UK.

Qualifications

• Strong JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 development.
• Experience with modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, Next.js).
• Understanding of responsive design and accessibility best practices.
• Experience with unit/integration/UI testing and design systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, responsive front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Translate UI/UX designs into accessible user experiences across devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, QA, DevOps and other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Build reusable components and maintain clean, well-structured code.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and version control workflows using Git-based tooling.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture and coding standards.
