Job summary

Handelsbanken is seeking a Front-End Developer to build and maintain responsive user interfaces using a React-based framework, with a focus on performance and code quality. You will work in an agile environment, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to knowledge transfer within the Front-End team.

The role emphasizes delivering clean, testable code and aligning with risk and compliance practices, while supporting a flexible working approach within the bank’s technology transformation

Qualifications

Proficient in building responsive UIs and accessible interfaces.
Strong experience with HTML5, CSS Modules, JS (ES9) and TypeScript.
Hands-on React development and modern front-end tooling.
Experience validating UI across Chrome and Edge browsers.
Familiar with Scrum/Agile processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Build, test and document applications using a React-based framework.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to produce clean, maintainable code.
Lead or participate in Show and Tell sessions with stakeholders.
Ensure knowledge transfer to the Front-End/UI team.
Act as Front-End SME within the delivery team.
Escalate risk and compliance concerns per policy.
