Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in London is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Front-End to deliver end-to-end, cloud-native front-end solutions for our digital banking platform. You will help shape architecture and drive the SDLC while shipping features with a flat-structure team.

You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with cross-functional squads, and ensure a robust, scalable UI with a strong design system, responsive UX, and performance optimizations for web and mobile.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in React and React Native development for web and mobile.
• Experience building mobile apps using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Android/iOS native development knowledge (Kotlin/Swift) is a plus.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and GraphQL-based services.
• Ability to write clean, testable JavaScript code.
• Comfortable with TypeScript in large codebases.
• Familiar with modern React features like Suspense and Hooks.
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools (Detox, Appium, WebdriverIO, Playwright).
• Strong web development basics: responsive design, performance optimization.
• Hands-on with design systems and component libraries ensuring consistent UI/UX.
