Job summary

Scrumconnect Ltd is hiring a Front End Developer focused on a government design system. Location is UK-based with some travel to Taunton. Contract: Permanent, Full-Time.

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus benefits. You will build and maintain a government-standard component library, ensure WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, and support adoption across delivery teams. Qualifications

• Experience building or maintaining government design systems or component libraries.
• Auditing and remediating to WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Strong front-end skills: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS with React and/or Angular.
• Experience with Figma Dev Mode/Make.
• Experience supporting design system adoption.
• Experience writing code that calls APIs.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and YAML pipelines.
• Experience writing test scripts and building automated build/test pipelines.
• Fluent English and clear communication.
• Experience with DAST tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a government-standard component library and design system.
• Audit and remediate components to WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Develop front-end components in the design system's stack for reuse.
• Collaborate with designers using Figma to turn designs into production components.
• Support change, communications and adoption for design system rollout across teams.
• Write and maintain automated tests for components and pipelines.
• Maintain build, test and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML.
• Keep documentation sites and release notes, including migration guides.
