Job summary

Scrumconnect is seeking a Front End Developer focused on design systems to build and maintain a government-standard component library. You will ensure accessibility, performance and developer experience across teams, with hands-on adoption support.

You will work with Figma, Storybook and modern tooling to ship reusable components, automate tests and document changes for migration guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience building or maintaining government design systems or component libraries.
• Strong focus on WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility and performance.
• Frontend expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS and frameworks like React or Angular.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a government-standard design system and component library.
• Audit and remediate components to WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Develop components in the design system's stack, and package for reuse.
• Collaborate with designers to convert designs into production components.
• Support rollout via documentation, communications and adoption help.
• Write tests and maintain pipelines with Storybook, Chromatic, YAML and Azure DevOps.
